LNbits urges operators to shut down servers after wallet compromises

· 1 min read

LNbits, an open-source tool for Bitcoin Lightning Network payments, has urged all operators to shut down their servers after reports of compromised wallets. One operator confirmed losing 2.28 million sats and plans to reimburse affected users. The hosted service was taken offline, patches are expected within 24 to 48 hours, and users should disable the Paywall extension while a separate issue is investigated.
